People use the search engines in twodifferent ways. They usually tend to be for either buying or researching.
Key phrases used by people researching are therefore
different to those used by people looking to buy. This means that when choosing keyphrases for your website you need to think
about what sort of traffic you are looking to attract.

If you are looking to purchase products like clothing then you will use keyphrases like Buy Paul Frank Clothes or Buy Paul Frank T-shirts as these terms include brand names and the type of clothing. If they were looking to find out about the history of the company or more about the designer then the search terms used would be similar to About Paul
Frank Industries or Paul Frank Designer.

This is not true for all businesses and products. If a user already knows the product id number then they may use that to search for their desired product. Someone searching for a Vitalograph Emergency Aspirator might use the keyphrase (M1830) Vitalograph Aspirator as it includes the product number. A term like this will probably return a list of web pages displaying the desired product.

There are also some search terms that cover both research and buying traffic. Keyphrases like these relate to both people researching and people looking to buy.For instance someone who was looking to research into local web design and search engine optimisation companies is likely to use terms like Web Design Salisbury or Web Design Wiltshire. These terms are also likely to be used by someone who is looking to use the services of a web design company or search engine optimisation team.

Having worked in the retail business for some time I was looking to expand my business by setting up a site to advertise my produce and sell it to bigger businesses that might use it. Because I live in the Salisbury area my first consideration was okay ? Web Design Salisbury? how am I going to get the site that I want made and properly marketed.

After searching for several articles on the web and discovered that I would require a site that was properly set up to make it simple for the person arriving at my site to discover what they required. I also found out that once you have your site how you want it to look you need to get the thing discovered in the search engines. Which meant that it didn?t matter how much work was done on the site design, if the customers you needed to see your site don?t look at it.

I got in touch with a web design business that had been personally recommended to me just outside of Salisbury and they were able to not only design the site so that the business was reflected in its best light but made the site very easy to navigate around. The months that followed saw a big rise in sales with the Internet marketing team was getting the site in front of the relevant buyers in the search engines and the work then rolled in it was brilliant.

Businesses recognise that they have to have customers and splash out to get huge adverts in the press, but it is stunning how many businesses don?t know the large amount of business they can get from there personal website if it has brilliant web design and search engine optimisation (SEO). Everybody is used to working with standard forms of marketing to get there organisation seen but not many of them actually understand how high the return on investment is when a site is created properly.

There are a lot of websites on the internet that are either past there prime or attempt to put to much into the site itself and lose the target of what the site is actually about. Living just outside of Salisbury, I wish I had typed in
Web Design Salisbury I might have received the information that my site and organisation so badly required.

Websites that have decent web design, guides the client to precisely what they require, it puts them at rest, sets up a desire for your services by revealing it in its best light and in the end makes the task of purchase easy and enjoyable.
For that person to actually arrive at your site they will have usually used the search engines to get to you, not many organisations understand that if you are not on the front page of a search engine you are not likely to be seen, because lets face it how often do you go trawling through page after page of search data for a certain site do you not usually just click on the front page.

The skill in carrying out search engine work isn?t trying to cheat the search engines into believing your site is other than it is, but using up to date techniques to make your site the relavent for its chosen category. This sort of work isn?t a one off, it is thorough work focused to promote your site and keep it relevant for the search engines.
